Upper Stage Propulsion Engine System Technical Leader
Within MaiaSpace Technical Team, you’ll be in charge of the overall Engines Propulsion Systems:
Manage the engine specification for MSP launcher and ensure convergence and consistency with all the architects of the launcher and with the Upper stage architect). A particular attention, on the launcher exploitation phase must be considered aiming to optimize Expendable Launch Vehicle and Reusable Launch Vehicle business performance.
Contribute to the launcher development and verification plan with a strong link with tests (objectives, exploitation and measurement plan)
Contribution to the tests and flight preparation (i.e flight worthiness file), forecast, and analysis
Manage First stage Engine technical data base, configuration management and coordination planning activities with Engines supplier.
Draw and Manage with Engines supplier the technical logic and actions plan regarding technical issues
Ensure consistency with First stage Engine system design
Monitor target engine performance under development worldwide
Your duties will include:
Design (Mechanical, Functional & Avionics)
Concept studies, including trade-offs
Technical specification Requirements
Functional and justification files synthesis for MSP
Safety file
Roadmap and logics i.e tests
Supplier management
Ensure coordination and convergence
Support to the company’s technical strategy
Support to the Propulsion roadmap
Support to industrialization and operation
Job requirements
🎓 Qualification
Master’s degree or equivalent in aerospace engineering
> 10 years of professional experience in the field of liquid propulsion and launcher systems
Sound knowledge in fluid systems, avionics systems and mechanical architecture, design and development
Sound knowledge of cryogenic fluids, control and regulation, mechanical justification
Sound knowledge of launcher system architecture design (function analysis, phase analysis, specification...)
Sound knowledge in products and supplier management
Sound knowledge in test and launch campaign preparation
Experience with development and qualification process
