Kourou Shopfloor Manager

You are an experienced and proactive Shopfloor Manager to oversee daily operations on the production floor in the Maia Integration Building in Kourou. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high quality standards, managing staff performance, and promoting a safe working environment. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with hands-on operational expertise.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily shopfloor activities to meet production targets

• Coordinate with La Défense, Vernon and other Kourou local teams, especially on manufacturing engineering tasks (jigs & tools definition, work instructions...)

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of operators

• Monitor productivity, efficiency, and quality performance metrics

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Identify process improvements and implement lean manufacturing practices

• Manage workforce planning, shift scheduling, and resource allocation

• Collaborate with production in Vernon, quality, and supply chain teams

• Resolve operational issues and escalate when necessary

• Train and develop staff to improve skills and performance

• Maintain accurate production records and reports

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment

• Previous supervisory or management experience

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Good understanding of production processes and quality standards

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Qualification

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field

• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement

• Familiarity with ERP and production management systems

Working location and start date 

• Expected start date in Vernon and La Défense: second quarter 2026

• Expected start date in Kourou : fourth quarter 2026
