Job description

MaiaSpace aims at providing an affordable access to space thanks to its reusable launcher. As a launch industry market entrant, our teams dedicate a lot of time and energy to monitor recurring costs.

In this context, the “Industrialization” team provides the launch system development teams with tools and best practices in order to help them reach their cost targets. Since Day 1, a design-to-cost approach has been adopted at MaiaSpace to produce a cost-effective launcher and our teams implement all the necessary actions to keep our costs on target

Inside MaiaSpace development teams you will join the team that elaborates and optimize trajectory for our launch vehicle and elaborate the environment loads along the trajectory for the other development teams.

Within your multidisciplinary team you will support the synthesis of the launcher environments at MaiaSpace on the field of dynamic responses and solicitations on the launcher. Your scope of work includes the launcher modelling study, the simulation campaigns to the result’s availability and synthesis to other development teams.

In this perimeter your responsibilities will include:

  • Dynamics FE analyses

Modal, transient & harmonic responses, using Nastran (MSC) preferably.

Finite Element modelling & structures simplifications for dynamic studies (Hypermesh)

Load case modelling

Launcher dynamic simulation plateform development: Pre/post-processing and analyses tools (Nastran MSC & Python preferably)

  • Dynamics for development

Support the update of the general databases of launcher environments

Support the dynamics requirements synthesis toward stages and parts teams, incl. Equipments

Support the stages and parts prototyping and tests for measures definition & acquisition.

  • Overseeing of subcontracted work in your responsibility field

Scope of work definition

Contract management and follow-up
