Inside MaiaSpace development teams you will join the team that elaborates and optimizes trajectory for our launch vehicle and elaborates the environment loads along with the trajectory for the other development teams.

Within your multidisciplinary team you will lead Flight Safety Analysis, from methodology to tool implementation and Optimize ascent and return trajectory.

In this perimeter your responsibilities will include:


Safety Analysis 
o Build from the initial team effort to develop, enhance and maintain the methodology algorithms for stages footprints determinations:
▪ Prototype, develop and validate in house solution to cover the needs
▪ Elaborate survivability analysis and risks computation methodology
▪ Converge with flight safety regulators and ensure method compliance .


o Close range safety
▪ Teamwork with all the developments stages, parts & aerodynamics teams to update initial fragmentation file and enhance/streamline the methodology.
▪ Teamwork with GNC & Loads teams to enhance the break-up thresholds and maximal deviation capacity.


o Far range safety
▪ Determine the flight envelope accessible for trajectories, taking overflown areas into account.
▪ Contribute to in-orbit risks mitigations & FDIR Logic


o Participate to the flight safety synthesis submission bookfile,

Mission Analysis
▪ Build mission scenarios, optimize the trajectories from lift-off to deorbitation, including Kickstage.
▪ Contribute to system loop, performance mapping and dedicated missions’ analysis,
▪ Contribute to mission analysis processes and toolings to enhance the team capacity for mission management.

Overseeing of subcontracted work in your responsibility field

▪ Scope of work definition
▪ Contract management and follow-up
▪ Delivery acceptance

Contribution to the overall launch system definition
▪ Contribute to the engineering effort of your team and cross-functionally between teams, even if it involves work outside your main field of action, in order to contribute to the vehicle system synthesis.

Job requirements

• Proficiency in programming languages (Python for instance).

• Good level of English

🎓 Qualification :

• Engineer, specialization in aerospace preferred.

• Level : 1 to 3 years’ experience in Flight Safety, modelling & software development tools for aerospace industry.
