Embedded Software Medium

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer for our Paris La Défense office. As part of the Avionics and EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) team, the incumbent's main mission will be to develop and test embedded software and associated toolchains.

Your main activities will cover the following areas:

• The development roadmap for on-board software on the launcher and EGSEs
• The definition of on-board and ground software architectures, and a contribution to the definition of avionics and ground systems as a whole
• Definition of validation and qualification objectives
• Development and validation of :
• Embedded software (flight program) or high-level EGSE applications based on code generation and algorithms specified or developed by the GNC, Mission and GSE (Ground Support Equipment) teams.
• Lower layers based on real-time operating systems
• On-board intra-equipment and on-board/ground communication systems
• For certain software bricks, be able to supervise outsourced developments
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Software Factory and the HITL (Hardware In The Loop) platform:
• Definition, development, validation and operational implementation of a software factory based on a CI/CD and DevOps approach.
• Definition, development, validation and operational implementation of a HITL platform simulating all avionics, embedded software and part of EGSE.

Qualifications

• Education: Engineer, PhD or equivalent with a specialization in industrial IT, embedded software, electronics or telecom.
• Experience: > 5 years in industry or research in the fields of automotive, IoT, IT/telecom, space, aeronautics, defense or equivalent.

Skills

• C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink
• Real-time and OS: Linux (PREEMPT), FreeRTOS, VXWorks or equivalent
• Mastery of some common µC or µP SoC platforms: ARM Cortex Mx, Rx, Axx, Intel x86, etc.
• Command of a few communication buses and network stacks: Ethernet, CAN, ARINC 664, MIL-STD-1553, etc.
• Knowledge or practice of code generation tools: e.g. Matlab/Simulink
• Ability to perform rapid prototyping: e.g. PlatformIO, RPi, etc.
• Good configuration management and CI/CD practices: e.g. git/gitlab, Jenkins, etc.
• Mastery of tools commonly used for HITL: dSAPCE, NI, etc.
• English read, written & spoken
