Industrialization Engineer
We are looking for an Industrialization Lead Engineer to join one of our agile multi-disciplinary teams in charge of the development of the Upper Stage of the Maia Launch Vehicle. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end industrialization process of the stage. This includes two distinct tasks: ease the transition to series production for certain sub-systems and synthesizing the industrialization of all sub-systems for the stage.
Your tasks will be the following:
- Prepare industrialization of qualification models & flight models:
Identify Components Off-the-shelf (COTS) that meet Upper Stage design need or propose stage design adaptations to ease product procurement and secure cost and planning
Provide an industrial point of view during design reviews to adapt the product for easier manufacturing and cost optimization
Support and facilitate Make or Buy trade-offs
- Synthesize Industrialization of All Sub-Systems:
Synthesize the industrialization processes of different sub-systems to ensure coherence at stage level
Support the Manufacturing schedule of the stage, find the critical path and define the Long Lead Item (LLI)
Support the Recurrent Cost synthesis of the stage
Coordinate with sub-system referents to align industrialization strategies and timelines
Help quality control processes within the Team
- Simplify Transition to Series Production:
Define and manage the supply chain for different sub-systems of the Upper Stage
Identify and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance
Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships
Develop and maintain production plans and schedules
Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure timely and efficient production of components
- Liaison and Communication:
Serve as the Upper Stage focal point inside the Indus Network of the company
Facilitate effective communication between the suppliers and the Team
Attend and contribute to cross-functional meetings and reviews
Job requirements
🛸 Specific competences & abilities:
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge in manufacturing processes (especially metallic)
- In-depth knowledge and experience in project management (planning management, quality management…)
- Knowledge in non-recurring cost and recurring cost monitoring and optimization
- Knowledge in CAD & PDM software (SolidWorks)
- Knowledge and experience in product design (mechanical, electrical, fluidic) appreciated
Interpersonal Skills:
- Delivery oriented (tailored to customer need)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage supplier relationships
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Team spirit and ability to collaborate effectively with different Agile Teams
- Experience in negotiating
- Experience in production environments
 🎓 Qualification:
- Experience: 7 to 10 years of experience in aerospace engineering or a related field
- Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- English level sufficient to read and write technical documentation, to perform oral technical presentation and to interact on technical topics
