Control Engineer 

Inside MaiaSpace development teams you will join the team that elaborates and tunes the Guidance Navigation Control Software of our launcher and develops the global Functional Environnement Simulator. Within your multidisciplinary team you will lead Mission Preparation Software for control tuning including the associated tools development. You will be in close collaboration with the development leaders and in collaboration with the different simulators developed in house. 

Perform attitude control tuning for propelled phases for all stages. You will lead the development of our Mission Preparation & Exploitation software tool. 

In this perimeter your responsibilities will include: 

  1. Robust control tuning for propelled phases

  • perform synthesis and analysis with robust control techniques for exo-atmospheric propelled phases based on existing tools

  • Standardization of control synthesis procedure across launcher different stages

2. In coordination with all the team, development of global GNC mission preparation software & participation of the workflow definition

  • Analysis of existing tools & scripts

  • Rationalization of existing Control tuning software in anticipation of mission preparation

  • Proposal and justification of communalization or separation

  • Development and implementation of rationalized processes

3. In coordination with all the team, development of Control post flight exploitation software & participation of the workflow definition

4. Overseeing of subcontracted work in your responsibility field

  • Scope of work definition

  • Contract management and follow-up

  • Delivery acceptance

5. Contribution to the overall launch system definition: Contribute to the engineering effort of your team and cross-functionally between teams, even if it involves work outside your main field of action, in order to contribute to the vehicle system synthesis

Job requirements

🛸Specific Skills: 

  • strong knowledge of robust control techniques (familiarity with systune, nichols plots) 

  • good knowledge of launcher flight dynamics 

  • good knowledge of overall GNC system interfaces 

  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, Python 

  • Good level of French & English

  • Rigor and precision 

🎓Qualification: 

  • Generalist engineer, specialization in GNC, AeroSpace, production experience 

  • Level: 3-5 years’ experience in GNC
