Control Command Software Engineer – SCADA & PLC EGSE 

Within the Avionics Group, the Control Command EGSE team develops and operates industrial Control Command and supervision systems used for launcher integration, validation and launch operations.

The position focuses on the development, integration and validation of SCADA and PLC software solutions based on Siemens industrial automation environments.

Main activities include:

  • Development of SCADA applications and PLC software for EGSE and Control Command systems. 

  • Development and maintenance of Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC OA environments. 

  • Integration of industrial communication networks such as Profinet and Profisafe. 

  • Design and validation of redundant PLC and high-availability architectures. 

  • Participation in safety-related automation functions involving safety PLCs and SIL-oriented architectures. 

  • Specification and characterization of software performances, robustness and operational behavior of Control Command systems. 

  • Integration, validation and troubleshooting activities on HWIL, Iron Bird and launch facilities.

  • Specify and analyze Control Command software performances and operational behavior. 

  • Participate in integration, verification, validation and troubleshooting activities. 

  • Collaborate with system, avionics, electrical and operational teams. 

  • Ensure software configuration management and software quality best practices. 

Pré-requis du poste

🛾 General competences & abilities

  • Strong experience in industrial automation and Control Command systems. 

  • Strong experience in PLC and SCADA software development. 

  • Experience with Siemens automation environments, especially TIA Portal. 

  • Experience with WinCC OA supervision systems. 

  • Good understanding of industrial communication protocols and field buses such as OPC UA, Profinet, Profisafe and Modbus. 

  • Knowledge of redundant PLC and high-availability systems. 

  • Familiarity with safety PLC concepts and SIL-oriented architectures. 

  • Ability to specify and characterize software features and performances. 

  • Experience with industrial system integration and troubleshooting activities. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to work in complex multidisciplinary environments. 

  • Willingness to travel to French Guiana as part of job requirements.

🛾 Preferred Experience

  • Experience with launch systems, command & control systems or critical industrial infrastructures. 

  • Experience with HWIL, Iron Bird or industrial validation platforms. 

  • Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity constraints. 

  • Familiarity with IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 and SIL2/SIL3 environments.

🎓 Qualification

  • Engineering degree (Bac+5 or equivalent) in Automation, Industrial Software, Control Command Systems, Electrical Engineering or related domains. 

  • 2 to 7 years of relevant experience.
